Travel day (international flight)
Transfer from Ezeiza International Airport to the hotel. Night at the Dazzler Recoleta Hotel. You will have time to rest from the long trip or to take a very short walk through the center of the capital.
We will start in Palermo, a residential neighborhood with parks, embassies and important monuments. We continue our tour through Recoleta, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city, where the famous Recoleta Cemetery is located. We will continue along the glamorous Avenida Alvear to Avenida 9 de Julio from where we will see the Teatro Colón, one of the world’s jewels of Opera and cultural pride of the people of Buenos Aires. We will skirt the Obelisk to, now, reach the Plaza de Mayo (knowing its Civic Center) with the Government House (Casa Rosada), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo.
We will make a descent of 20 minutes.
Later we will visit the traditional neighborhood of San Telmo, whose magical atmosphere will take us back in time. Already in La Boca we can recognize where the first Italian immigrants settled, famous for its picturesque and colorful architecture. In this neighborhood we will do two descents, the first in the Boca Juniors Stadium – La Bombonera – (as long as it is possible to descend) and the second in Caminito so that you can get to know the most attractive and picturesque area of the walk.
We finish the tour in Puerto Madero, where the most famous restaurants in Buenos Aires are located. At the end you will be dropped off at your respective hotels or the closest to them. (Sundays include a visit to the San Telmo Fair)
Night at the Dazzler Recoleta Hotel.
Transfer from the Hotel to the airport.
Flight to Iguazú.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Half-day excursion to the Brazilian Falls.
We will leave for the neighboring country of Brazil, where, after crossing the border, we will go to the Foz De Iguaçú National Park. It occupies an area of 175,000 hectares, thus being 11 times larger than its Argentine counterpart, with which it shares the beauty and exuberance of the jungle that houses countless species of animals and plants.
Since the vast majority of the waterfalls are on the Argentine side, the Brazilian park has a single walkway, approximately 1,000 meters long, from where you can take advantage of the different panoramic views. It is said, thus, that Argentina has the best waterfalls, but Brazil the best views. The walkway continues to the very opening of the Devil’s Throat, the most compact and impressive group of jumps; A walk to this viewpoint will guarantee leaving you completely wet from head to toe, but with an incomparable feeling.
If you want to enjoy an impressive view, but without getting wet, you can take another section of the walkway to the Floriano waterfall, which has two viewpoints, one lower and one upper, linked by an elevator. There you will be able to observe the water falling just a few meters away and hear the characteristic roar of the Falls. Helicopter rides lasting about 10 to 15 minutes are offered at the park entrance. These tours are only available in Brazil.
(Argentina banned them for environmental reasons) and they are only done when the weather permits, check with the guide to see if it is possible.
Night at the La Reserva Lodge Hotel
From the hotel, passengers will be transferred to the Iguazú National Park, which was created in 1934 (the second in Argentina), and which has a total of 67,000 hectares. Iguazú, in the Guaraní language, means “big water”; It was surely named so because of the enormous flow discharged by the more than 275 Falls: 1750 cubic meters per second on an annual average. The most important trails are three: Lower Circuit, Upper Circuit and Devil’s Throat, all connected to each other and the Visitor Center by the ecological train specially designed to preserve the ecosystem.
The Lower Circuit (1,700 meters) allows you to get closer to the roar of the water falling against the rock, coming into full contact with the falls and the vegetation; an intimate experience that also allows you to cool off with the water that rises with each jump.
The Upper Circuit (1,200 meters) gives a different perspective: seeing the jumps from above, feeling the water flowing furiously under your feet. But the most spectacular is, without a doubt, the Devil’s Throat. A 1,100 meter walkway begins from the train station. which passes, for the most part, over the water of the enormous Iguazú River. Upon reaching the viewpoints, you will see all the power of the Falls concentrated in a horseshoe of falls that deafen and wet the visitor with the drizzle that rises from 80 meters. deep. Great Adventure: This ride of just under two hours combines a 12km route. in 4×4 units through the Misiones jungle and a navigation in zodiac boats through the rapids of the Inferior Iguazú until we enter the Devil’s Throat canyon. We will feel the excitement of having the jumps within reach, so close that we can take a “shower” in them, after which we will return and disembark at the Lower Circuit. The boats are equipped with life jackets for each of the passengers and respect the current safety regulations of the National Prefecture.
(Restrictions: Children under 12 years of age, pregnant women, people with osteoporosis, spinal problems and/or heart history cannot take this walk.)
Night at the La Reserva Lodge Hotel
Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
Flight to El Calafate with connection.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Night at the Sierra Nevada Hotel.
We will depart in the morning from El Calafate towards the Los Glaciares National Park area. The landscape changes abruptly once we enter the Magellan Peninsula area. We will leave behind the Patagonian steppe of sparse vegetation and ocher colors to enter, along a road with narrow curves that runs along the steep coast of the peninsula, in a beech forest that, depending on the time of year, offers very attractive multicolored versions. We will finally arrive at Puerto Moreno (located at the foot of the coastal walkways) on the Canal de los Témpanos. From there, our boat in seconds reaches the front of the north wall of the Perito Moreno glacier.
We stop for a while in front of the area where (every certain number of years) the famous glacier break occurs. Then, we made a slow navigation in front of the entire width of the north wall. During the tour, you can appreciate the height of its walls, the extension of said wall and (if we are lucky and the glacier wants it) we can see beautiful landslides.
The boat guide will give an explanation about the glacier. It also assists passengers throughout the entire navigation. Navigation time, 45 minutes.
For lunch we can choose between a sandwich in a bar near the glacier or a picnic in front of it if you bring your own food. We will return to El Calafate in the afternoon.
Night at the Sierra Nevada Hotel.
Transfer from El Calafate to El Chaltén.
Chorrillo del Salto Trekking. WITH GUIDE
Low Requirement. 3 hours. 7 km. Perfect for making a first contact with the natural environment of El Chaltén, walking through a hillside forest area on an easy route. Night at Hotel Lunajuim.
Trekking to Laguna Torre. WITH GUIDE
Medium requirement. 7 hours. 18 kilometers. The road enters the valley of the Fitz Roy River and continues up the course of this river to its source. Just 15 minutes into the walk, you can access the first viewpoint located in a gorge of the Fitz Roy River, which offers a panoramic view of the Solo hills, Adela range, Torre hill and Mount Fitz Roy. On the other side of the river is the Margarita waterfall. Halfway along the route you reach a natural viewpoint with an incomparable panoramic view of the Adela range and Cerro Torre and the granite spiers that accompany it. The path eventually crosses the De Agostini base camp. Leaving the base camp behind, the path heads towards the frontal moraine, which is ascended until reaching its crest after about 15 minutes. From there it is possible to go down to the lagoon, or continue along the same ridge for another 2 km to the Maestri viewpoint. This lagoon usually gathers on its shore numerous icebergs that break off from the front of the Grande glacier.

Trekking La Laguna de los 3. WITH GUIDE
High demand. 9 Hours. 25 kilometers. The trailhead begins at the end of Avenida San Martín. During the first hour of walking the slope is somewhat steep and you will access a natural viewpoint of the De las Vueltas River valley. In a few more minutes you enter the valley of the Del Salto stream in the direction of Mount Fitz Roy. The ñires begin to become more and more numerous around the trail and approximately an hour and a half into the journey you access a well-marked natural rocky viewpoint, with a sign that allows you to interpret the mountainous and glacial panorama that is presented to the walker. The path always continues up the Del Salto stream to the drainage area of the Madre and Hija lagoons. About 4 hours after leaving El Chaltén, you first arrive at the Poincenot Base Camp (one of the busiest camping sites in the National Park) and after crossing the Blanco River, at the Río Blanco Base Camp (only for climbers). From here the path continues with a somewhat steep slope of approximately 400 meters of elevation to the De los Tres lagoon, which will require just over an hour of effort. The path ends at the old moraine ridge (huge arch-shaped formation that currently contains the lagoon, formed by the action of glacial advance and subsequent retreat), with an extraordinary view of the lagoon and De los Tres glacier. This is the closest view of the granite face of Mount Fitz Roy and its outlying spiers. Going down the moraine, and skirting the lagoon to its mouth, you will find a path that will take you to another impressive view: the desolate Sucia lagoon and its hanging glaciers.

Distance 10km Minimum height 1050 meters above sea level Maximum height 1750 meters above sea level Elevation 700 meters Walking time 4-5 hours
The Emilio Frey Refuge can be reached by different trails. This starts from the parking lot of the Cerro Catedral ski center and of all it is the most chosen option: it has good accessibility with public transport, it requires less effort than the others as it has less unevenness and in summer the low vegetation area is avoided ( trail that starts from the shores of Lake Gutiérrez) traveling mostly through a wooded area that offers good shade on hot days.
The entrance to the trail is signposted and the first meters are shared with a vehicular path. After 6 km. The trail joins the one that comes from Lake Gutiérrez, and its route runs very close to Arroyo Van Titter for almost 2 km. passing through the Piedritas Shelter on its way. Then the steep part begins until you cross the Van Titter Stream again and reach the Emilio Frey Shelter, located on the shores of the Toncek lagoon.
Night at the Emilio Frey Refuge.
Trekking 4 Refuges (Frey Refuge – San Martin Refuge). WITH GUIDE – includes box lunch, dinner (without drinks). Sleeping bag not included.
Distance 9km Minimum height 1510 meters above sea level Maximum height 2040 meters above sea level Elevation 530 meters Walking time 8-9 hours
Starting from the Emilio Frey Refuge, we skirt the right bank of the Toncek lagoon, and later the Schmoll Lagoon. Then, a very steep climb begins between rocks until reaching a place known as the “Football Field.”
Already on the ridge, a few meters further on is the sign indicating the detour to the left towards the Rucaco Valley along the path that leads to the San Martín Refuge (the other path that continues several kilometers along the ridge leads to Cerro Catedral) . This is an area without vegetation, with rocks that make walking difficult.
Once across the valley, the trail ascends again to the edge of Cerro Brecha Negra and then descends to the Jakob Lagoon, next to which the San Martín Shelter is located.
Night at the San Martin Shelter.
-Trekking 4 Refuges (San Martin Refuge – Manfredo Segre Refuge). WITH GUIDE – includes box lunch, dinner (without drinks). Sleeping bag not included.
Distance 8km Minimum height 1550 meters above sea level Maximum height 2050 meters above sea level Elevation 500 meters Walking time 9-12 hours
Very technical and one-way path due to the great difficulty of traveling on slopes. It is recommended to do this journey starting in February, when there is no more snow.
Leaving the San Martín Refuge, the first 20 minutes are taken along the road that leads to the Schweizer Pass and the Los Témpanos Lagoon. At the lagoon take the detour to the right (the one on the left continues towards Arroyo Casalata and Los Césares).
You have to pay close attention to not lose your way when ascending in a very technical part with climbing sections. Upon reaching the Refugio peak, you begin to travel along the edge of the Cordón de los Inocentes. Then you pass through Cerro Navidad and that is when the road begins to lose altitude until you reach Arroyo Navidad.
Already in the valley, the path joins the one that comes from Colonia Switzerland. Turn left, and climb the zigzag slope through the “snails” until you reach the Black Lagoon and the Manfredo Segre Refuge (also known as Italia).
Night at the Manfredo Segre Refuge.

Distance 9km Minimum height 1510 meters above sea level Maximum height 2040 meters above sea level Elevation 530 meters Walking time 6-8 hours.
It is recommended to do this journey starting in February, when there is less snow on the summit. Before this date, mountain experience and special equipment are required. From the Manfredo Segre Shelter, also known as the Italia Shelter, on the shores of the Black Lagoon, we will begin to move towards Bailey Willis Hill. There begins the descent into the valley, where we will cross a tributary stream of Arroyo Goye, and then begin to ascend to Cerro Lopez, to reach the Lopez Refuge. This section is the most technical, there is a steep slope and sometimes it is necessary to hold onto the rocks with your hands.
