Manaslu Adventures offers you the climb to the 2nd highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kenya. Located in the heart of the African savanna, Mount Kenya gives its name to this African country. It is the second highest mountain in Africa after Mount Kenya, and rises to 5,195 meters above sea level with its summit covered in snow. Its ascent allows you to enjoy beautiful views.
Located in the protected area of Mount Kenya National Park, Kenya is a mountain massif of volcanic origin that has three main summits: Batian Peak (5,195 m), Nelion Peak (5,188 m) and Lenana Peak (4,985 m). . The ascent to its two main peaks requires the use of mountaineering techniques and climbing knowledge, while that of Pico Lenana, which is what we propose, is a true trekking at altitude and does not present technical difficulties. We will follow the Sirimon – Naro Moru route, which includes 1 day of additional acclimatization compared to the more classic ascent. The landscape during the ascent is truly spectacular. Due to its height, it is possible to find large glaciers on its western slope. Its ascension will allow us to enjoy the unparalleled landscapes of wild nature, which have made Mount Kenya a must-see destination for explorers and mountaineers, also ideal as acclimatization prior to the ascent of Mount Kenya.
