The Mischabel massif is a massif in the Pennine or Valais Alps in Switzerland. It forms the border between the Zermatt Valley and the Saas Valley (Saastal). It extends from the Allalinhorn (4027 m) above SaasFee, i.e. to the Grächen area.
It has eleven peaks over 4000 meters high, including the Dom, which is the highest mountain located entirely in Swiss territory. The Mischabel Alps are a precious objective for alpine ascents of all difficulties.
These mountains, often in conjunction with the Weissmies Alps, are perfect for any level of mountain experience. From a simple glacial ascent such as the normal route of the Allalinhorn (4,027m) with a duration of 4 hours of ascent to its summit from Mittelallalin and more complex ascents such as the northwest face of the Lenzspitze (4,294m) which then traverses to the summit of the Nadelhorn climbing beautiful gendarmes of very good rock quality (III grade) and then descending again to the Mischabe refuge. The Alta Ruta de Mischabel that we offer you is a program of climbs of medium difficulty. The most complicated points are the snow slopes of each of the 4000 meter peaks. These steps can be more or less complicated depending on the conditions. Another difficulty of this journey is the large number of glaciers with large areas of crevasses that will force us to ascend roped for safety. However, being accompanied by our High Mountain Guide is a guarantee of safety and tranquility to overcome the most complicated steps of the route.
