It is the oldest ski area in the Alps and was named in honor of Jean-Claude Killy, triple Olympic champion in Grenoble. Without a doubt it is the ideal place to enjoy the best alpine skiing in Europe. “Le plus bel espace de ski du monde”, i.e. “The most beautiful ski area in the world”, as Espace Killy is often called, extends across three mountains and two valleys, and unites the two resorts Val d’Isère and Tignes ski area, hosting an incredible offer of slopes for everyone, from beginners to the most professional skiers with 156 descents spread over a total of 300 kilometers, excellently equipped slopes for all tastes and all levels of difficulty and nearly 90 lifts that transport all skiers quickly and comfortably to the different points of the ski area.
Espace Killy also stands out for its countless off-piste routes, its glacial slopes on the Grande Motte, its descents through the forests towards the Val d’Isère valley and the villages located below Tignes.
