From Manaslu Adventures, we present you one of the most exotic and wild trips that we can possibly find in mountain skiing. Iceland is a territory at the end of the planet, planted in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on the borders of Europe and America, on the edge of the Arctic glacial circle. It has a population of only 350,000 inhabitants and an area that barely exceeds 100,000 km², making it the most unpopulated country in Europe per square meter.
If you doubt, Iceland offers you an indescribable sensation with a mix of solitude, harmony, calm and passion for nature and the mountains. With mountains that mostly barely reach 1,200 meters, one might think that this country offers few alternatives for practicing cross-country skiing. Nothing further from reality. Iceland offers us in the Troll region a large number of fjords to enter the interior of its valleys and enjoy endless days for all levels of mountain skiing. Certainly and thanks to the effects of the Gulf Stream, Iceland has a temperate climate in relation to its latitude and offers us, from March to May, exceptional snow conditions and mild temperatures to enjoy the cross-country skiingin an absolutely wild and unique environment in the world. The program that we present to you in Manaslu Adventures travels routes with a minimum possibility of confluence with other skiers, during the crossings, trying at all times to safeguard the pure and wild spirit of our adventure in Iceland .
