An emblematic mountain that shares the landscape from Urkiola, with Amboto, Mugarra and Aitz Txiki!
The Urrestei tower (678m) is a beautiful limestone needle located on the side of Untzilla (941m) and elegantly leaning over the aggressive abysses of Atxarte.
We will start the route in the Atxarte quarries and climb for about 20 minutes until we reach the foot of the route. Climbing in general on flat slabs with very good limestone. Rock with very good grip, with countless cracks and holds. The only notable difficulty is the tower that depending on the variant we choose we will have to tighten more or less. We will reach the summit of the same name in a simple climbing route on a 200m ridge. The difficulties to overcome are around IV+ grade. Aerial ridge to the Urrestei tower, a subsidiary point to the Uzillaitz mountain.
We will descend in two rappels and a small descent to the path that will take us back to the bottom of the Valley.
